Ashley Nicole Dawson is a Richmond-based vocalist and voice teacher known for her versatile performance background and supportive, results-driven teaching style. With advanced training and over a decade of experience, she helps singers of all levels find their voice and thrive across genres.
About Ashley
Ashley Nicole Dawson, a Richmond, VA native, is a professional singer, musician, and dedicated voice teacher with over a decade of experience. She holds a master’s degree in Vocal Performance from Ball State University—where she earned a graduate scholarship—following a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Liberty University. During her studies, Ashley trained in a variety of genres including opera, musical theater, pop, rock, indie/folk, and jazz. Her notable roles include Norina in Don Pasquale and Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance.
Recognized for her dramatic vocal presence and awarded first place in the Ball State Graduate Vocal Competition, Ashley brings the same passion and excellence to her teaching. She has served as Adjunct Professor of Voice at Taylor University and now runs her own voice studio in Richmond. Her teaching emphasizes sustainable vocal technique and encourages students to sing in multiple languages—Italian, French, German, and Spanish—while building versatility across genres.
Ashley’s studio is a supportive and creative space where singers are encouraged to explore, take risks, and grow. Her students have gone on to produce original music, overcome vocal challenges, and develop strong, lasting relationships with their voices. Through personalized instruction, performance coaching, and unwavering support, Ashley empowers each student to discover and cultivate their unique sound.

Carmen brings a tech-savvy, user-focused approach to the studio’s systems and digital presence, backed by a Bachelor’s in Business (Management Information Systems) and specialized training in UX/UI. With over 30 years of experience as Marketing Manager and co-owner of Carmike Glass, she has a proven track record in SEO-driven web strategy and client engagement. From scheduling to communication, Carmen ensures everything runs smoothly—so students can focus on what matters most: finding their voice and loving the journey.
